What is it Really All About?

Well! Well! Well! It seems to me that television journalists, reporters and talk show hosts have recently updated their dictionaries to allow for the use of:

Pissed as in: I, or We are Pissed.

Screwed as in: I, or We are Screwed.

Fart as in: a Pet doing this, a word that is not used for humans (yet?), and that I heard in one of the ads for cat food which jolted me a bit, though I am by no means a prude!

Also, Bitch has now been added to the airwaves usage as a result of Representative Marjorie Greene saying on the floor of the House that  Representative Lauren Boebart is “a Little Bitch” after which reporters and hosts repeated her words on the air! Real Classy Women, right?

And Bullshit is no more a taboo, either!

Moreover, in their next update, it seems that Apple won’t auto-correct, or override the word: Fucking by replacing it with Ducking! High Fucking time! And, I hope that Tim Cook will now instruct Siri not to tell me: “We don’t use such language” as she did several years ago when she overheard me saying that word!!

Anyway, there you go! We are now “allowed” to use such words in Polite Company, even though I have been “allowing” myself for decades, although I wonder if usage on the airwaves will coarsen and debase our interactions even more? I’m not quite sure of that. Anyway, it might not come as a surprise to anyone that Nesrine Malik, The Guardian’s smart columnist wrote “people voted for Boris Johnson knowing he was a liar.” That adjective also not being a NoNo anymore! And on June 19, The Guardian published: “Here you need to watch out for what has become a national pastime – psychoanalysing Boris Johnson, almost dissecting him . . .  What a grotesque creature . . . How did this uniquely mendacious man come to so undermine the dignity of his post and “take us all for fools” – as the Spectator (yes, the Spectator) wrote?”

While descriptions such as the above mentioned pertained to Boris Johnson, our television hosts have been using Liar to describe Donald Trump before the Brits did regarding Boris The Clown, as well as everyone and their mother now wondering how Trump “took us all for fools” and got himself elected in 2016? Doesn’t it compel one to question: What Is It Really All About? Is it the Fascination with such characters that made them electable? The Originality of their approach? The Bravado attitude? The Flaunting of Rules and Norms? Nevertheless, it is not a new Phenomenon in our world.

It is not a new phenomenon in our world either that the Republican Agenda these miserably inane days is focusing on things like Abortion, Book Banning, Speech Controlling, Immigrant Bashing, Name-Calling such as: Anarchists, Fascists (which Democrats and Moi have also used about the Trumpists), Socialists, Communists and other Descriptions and Adjectives of this sort with whichto smear their perceived enemies. Pretty lame!

Stay with me for a second as I take you back to 1873 when a Christian Zealot by the name of Anthony Comstock who was opposed to suffragettes and a boat-load of other progressive stuff, and who was worried about the debauchery and vice he perceived in public morals convinced the United States Congress to enact the Comstock Laws which made it illegal to transmit through the Postal Service, where he was appointed as special agent, to mail any material regarding abortion, the prevention of conception and any information pertaining to the prevention of venereal disease, or any other material deemed by him to be “obscene, lewd, lascivious.” In other words: Censorship. The result of his avid campaigning, as per Wikipedia, led to the  confiscation of books by the Post Office, and to the destruction of 15 tons of them, 284,000 pounds of plates for printing “objectionable” material, and nearly 4,000,000 pictures. Moving forward to another Christian Zealot, Andrew Volstead, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, who championed the National Prohibition Act in 1920 prohibiting the manufacture and sale of alcoholic beverages which led to people brewing them in bathtubs and backyards! There are other examples, however, Zealotry of the above mentioned kinds is nothing new to these United States, or to our vaunted? Representatives and Senators! It is a fabric of this nation, one used now and then and again as in our current Twenty-first Century by hypocrites and pseudo-Christian Zealots who have assigned for themselves the role of Morality Police such as Trump, DeSantis, Pence, Scott and other Wanna-bees to rally the crowds and get themselves elected. What Is It Really All About then?

And, What Is It Really All About when Secretary Blinken swallows the sword and travels to China in an effort to mend fences with President Xi and begin thawing the five-year-long process of jingoism against China, and barely had he landed when our President Biden Screws up the whole effort by calling President Xi a “Dictator!!??” What the hell were you thinking, Joe? Tactless! Undiplomatic! Unnecessary! Moreover, hosting Prime Minister Modi of India during that same week, a man known for his racism, authoritarianism and human rights violations was simply a slap in the face at China and only succeeds to Piss off President Xi! Really, Joe!!?? Is that how we are now conducting our Freedom and Democracy foreign policy? Pretty incoherent and incompetent, if you ask me!

And, What Is It Really All About that we are “deeply concerned” and “appalled” about what Bibi and his Extremists are doing to the Occupied Palestinian Population? Are we perhaps on the verge of sending them “thoughts and prayers” as we do after mass shootings in this country, while giving the Extremist Israeli Government a Huge Pass to continue their Criminal Behavior? How Hypocritical, Dismaying and Racist is this?

AND, Putin! Putin! Putin! What Was That Really All About, huh? And, what does the future bode? I’m holding my breath!

Lastly, just in case you’re wondering What Is It Really All About that Spectacle in the Ocean which Riveted the World’s Attention? Do ask yourself: am I a “Submersible” or a “Fishing Boat”? Because the first entitles you to being given VIP treatment, the second allows you to sink in your misery??!! The first is a disgusting flaunting of Privilege, the second is an effort to put you and keep you in your Subordinate Position! Get it? So, yes, I am Hugely Pissed! 99% of the Word’s Population is Screwed, and life can be a Royal Bitch for so many who are being Fucked by the Few! When is it Seriously Enough?
