It is the end of 2025, and I really should not start the New Year raving and ranting about our politics. I should rather look forward with Hope that 2026 will bring the World a less Chaotic, Turbulent, Angry and Apprehensive year. Maybe? Perhaps? Fingers Crossed?

I should not either start the year mouthing off about Trump’s Vulgar, Abusive, Cruel, Lawless and Obnoxious Shit-show! While this is all true and so many writers, thinkers, politicians, journalists, ordinary human beings are all saying this, maybe I could talk about a more upbeat subject to begin the New Year. For instance, let me look into Trump’s assertions that he will bring Peace to the World and an end to all Wars. And how terrific would that be? But, Ooops! Sorry! Wrong list to look at amongst all the other Lists of Unmet Promises, Illusions, Delusions and Outright Lies! There is no Real, Tangible Peace in any of the places where he promised that there would be. If I were him I would be absolutely Ashamed of myself, but Shame does not exist in his dictionary! I look at Palestine specifically and there is still a continuing and relentless uprooting, incarceration, expropriation of territory, outright and blatant theft, starvation and genocide. The levels of criminality, cruelty and vengeful hatred are appalling whether in Gaza, or in the West Bank! However, in looking at both the United States and Israel, and in focusing on Trump and Netanyahu in particular, the similarities between their two flawed characters are numerous, as, of course, are the similarities in their Lawlessness, their Cruelty, and their Preposterous Lies! Never have the United States and Israel been regarded with so much disrespect and disregard by the whole world as they are at the end of this year. Quite Shocking!!

So, are there any bright aspects amidst this dark cloud that Trump has thrown over this Nation, as well as the World? Are there any? It might seem as if there aren’t any, but, actually, there are! This being a Celebratory time of the year, Human Beings are going about their lives and enjoying themselves in spite and despite the terrible situation we find ourselves in. It is as if they have decided to Ignore the Endless Stream of Hate, Wicked, Unprofessional and Infantile Behavior spewing out of the White House and to Counter it with Optimism and Hope. Sometimes it is hard to perceive all the Terrific Daily Occurrences Happening around us, but they are Happening! Amongst these Happenings are Honorable Human Beings without regard to Political Party, Ethnicity, Religion or Anything Else and who are Speaking Out and Confronting these Aberrations! Judges, Lawyers, Governors, Ousted Federal and State Department Employees, Retired Generals, Veterans, Retired FBI Agents, Journalists, Writers, Podcasters, Comedians, Brave Politicians, Investigative Reporters, Teachers, Doctors, Numerous Organizations, Associations and Activists are all working Around The Clock, Never Stopping, Never Giving Up on our Constitution, on our Democratic Governance, or on All Those Yet Unmet Ideals that are worth striving for! Moreover, the American People, as a whole, are saying loudly and clearly that they are fed up with the way Trump and his Sorry, Inept Administration are conducting the affairs of this Nation. It is quite amazing actually and, sooner or later, there will have to be a Total Reversal of this Cruel, Criminal and Lawless Behavior. When? Sooner, or Later! It will happen, even though it seems so far out of reach at the moment, and, even though the Damage that is being inflicted upon these United States, its Institutions and all the World Organizations seems to be irreversible. It isn’t!

We are going through a Very Turbulent Period of history where there are old alignments and conventions being shred to tatters, and new ones are formulating themselves. How will it all shake up? We don’t know. No one does! Moreover, the Unsettled Conditions of our day are having adverse and worrisome effects on our Social Structures and Norms thus rendering even our Human Relationships fraught with Angst! What can we do? The best that we are able to affect at this precarious time is to take care of ourselves, our families and our friends and continue to Protest and Resist because giving up is not an Option! It Is Not An Option!!!

May 2026 Usher In Peace Of Mind for One, for All and for this Sad Planet that we call Home!

It was so refreshing for me during these past two weeks to listen and to watch the least amount of Mainstream Corporate News and Programs, as well as none of the superficial hype of the Local Channels! After all, and in looking at these United States, as well as many other places across our Planet, it is the same Shit-show continuing ad nauseam! That gave me time off to reflect once again on the many centuries our World has been through, and, sadly, it is the same old story of One Egotistical Leader and his sycophants desiring to Dominate, Occupy, Incarcerate, Murder, Plunder Resources, Enforce Laws, Rules and Regulations in order to shape the environment in the way that they deem best, and, at the end of the day, their Success (so to speak) did not last, although it created horrible conditions for the populace in the meantime. So it will be with Any Leader/Politician today who believes, or is led to believe, that he will Alter The World! It Will Not Happen! For, unless there is Justice, Equality, Respect, Dignity, Legality and Cooperation amongst All Human Beings then Dictatorships and Authoritarians will not prevail, and Violence in any and all of its forms will increase as we are witnessing that it is Daily! This is what History has taught us, and this repetition of the same Shit-shows has not changed as yet! When will we learn? Never? I can’t figure this out, as there are many things that I haven’t been able to figure out about us humans!

Meanwhile, there is always a History Before The Recent History that we have been witnessing for about a decade now, which is to say that the Groundwork had already been laid out for Trump’s Vulgar, Abusive, Cruel,  Lawless and Obnoxious Shit-show! I have my own take on the main aspect of what is going on right now: most of us are aware that it has been the case, since 1948 especially, of the ongoing and very close relationship between the US, Israel and the UK (whose divide-and-rule colonist policies pitted humans against each other as never before and continues doing so to the present since the US and Israel have adopted these same evil colonist, racist control tactics). The aforementioned three nations have now added Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar to their triumvirate relationship thus making it the Richest, Most Oil-producing, Most Militarily Strong and Most Powerful Convergence of Interests in the World today. Who would have ever believed that a decade ago? And, why, you might wonder have they all joined forces? And, why are they especially meddling in some African Countries and in Venezuela? I believe it is because the Six Aforementioned Nations have One Main Common Goal: to end all Resistance, Terrorism and Dissent within their own nations, as well as in their own regions. One strategy is to ensure that Iran will not be able to Sustain itself financially through the Drug Trade and Dubious Other Methods of selling its Oil and, hence, the Venezuelan connection! Get it? Moreover, and specifically in the case of Iran, to ensure that it cannot anymore support its Surrogates such as Hizballah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and all their likes some of whom are Legitimate Freedom Fighters, other have their Specific Ideology religious or otherwise, and others yet are simply Hangers-on. Supporting the Six Aforementioned Nations are, Mainly: Oligarchs, Billionaires, as well as Technology and Media Corporations who can only Thrive and Succeed when there is No Resistance to their Greedy Agenda. Therefore, they have to Control the Hoi Polloi with Massive Surveillance – human and machine – as well as the as yet embryonic AI intrusions into every aspect of our personal as well as digital life. Hence, their Alliance with Political Leadership. Therefore, Trump’s going after Venezuela is definitely Not To stem the flow of drugs to these United States. This is only a smoke-screen, because as long as there is a Demand there will be a Supply, and that supply can come in on Private Jets and Yachts, or in any other way that the Drug Traffickers have become Masters at configuring. So, no, it is not Drugs. What I believe is that Crushing Resistance in any of its forms is the real objective here as we Humans are turned into Timid Sheeple! Brave New World? 1984? Animal Farm? They seem resonant these terrible days and not far-fetched anymore.

On another topic: one sunny day, I took a walk in my neighborhood which is a lovely, clean, quiet suburb where the detached homes are owned by mostly middle-aged and old people. It never ceases to amaze me when I see that most of the residents park their cars on the street, or in their driveways when they all have a garage? Why? Well, their garages are used for storage, together with the attics and ample spaces within the homes. How much Stuff do we human beings accumulate in our lifetimes? And, do we really need all of it? I know, from having down-sized a few times in my lifetime, that I arrived to a certain age when having less and less made me feel so much lighter, freer, unencumbered. I think what I’m trying to say today is that most of us humans do not plan for old age, the Main Reason being that we do not want to think of dying. Ever! Ever? At the end of the day, we are all going to die: Authoritarians, Dictators, Corporate Leaders, Tech CEOs, Media Personalities, and All Of Us, and we’re not taking Anything with us! So wouldn’t it be a much better way to leave this Planet knowing that we have Evolved, that we Learned from our own mistakes and through the Teachings and Sayings of all those Wise Humans who came before us, and that we lived our lives honestly and to the best of our abilities, which is so much more Noble than leaving Humanity with the Bitter Taste of a Shit-show as all those Greedy, Arrogant, Amoral Political and Other Leaders on the World’s Stage today are doing??!! We have to Protest and to Resist and to Never Give Up!
