None of us knows what might occur in our lives at any given moment, because The Unexpected Is Around The Corner and it Always takes us by surprise! I can cite numerous examples of such surprises, but for today I will stick with President Joe Biden’s announcement that came on Sunday, July 21st. declaring to the Nation and to the World that he will finish his term as President and then pass the torch on to his Vice President, Kamala Harris, to be the Democratic Presidential Candidate for the upcoming Election. I must admit that it was a very, very sad moment and very moving and touching to hear his speech from the Oval Office. I wanted to reach out and hug him!

Irrelevant of whether we are Democrats, or Republicans, or of Any Political Affiliation, or Any Nationality, Ethnicity, or Religion realizing that Any Human Being is succumbing to the diminishment of their mental faculties is indeed very painful and sad. Some of us have seen this happen to loved ones, to friends, or have been aware for some time of how devastating this condition is. It is at such moments in life that we should all step away from ourselves and allow our compassion to take over and extend itself to enfold the frailty of our Human Existence, and how Any One of Us could be in that same debilitating and distressing situation. I must admit that despite all my reservations regarding Joe Biden’s foreign policies, I put all those aside, teared up and was quite distraught upon listening to him!

Moreover, Joe Biden has been serving this Nation for the past fifty years. We have known of his trials and tribulations for decades; we have empathized with his personal tragedies, as we have celebrated his successes from being Senator Amtrak Joe, to Vice President to President of these United States. It is a record of which he has every reason to be Proud, and one which we should all acknowledge and appreciate irrelevant of whether we agreed, or disagreed with his policies. It is the decent approach at this precarious time.

Therefore, Any Person choosing to belittle, disparage and debase this Human Being at this time is mere uncivilized, rude and despicable behavior! This goes for Donald Trump and many Republican Politicians and People. Such bad taste! Such foul-mouthed drivel! Such pettiness! Such cruelty! Such offensive reactions! Absolutely shameful! And, from the sounds we’re hearing it seems that the Trump/Vance duo, as well as their Republican chorus and supporters are going to go all out down and dirty, smearing, lying and creating “alternative facts” that should turn off Any Human with half a brain! Yes, they are sharpening the knives! It is nauseating!

President Biden anointed Kamala Harris to be the Presidential candidate. I believe that only time will tell how the Voters will respond to this choice. However, after meeting with Netanyahu on Thursday, July 25th., she made some remarks recapping that meeting and struck all the right chords. Frankly, I teared up as I was listening to her words! Was she being transparent about stating her views on this vital matter? Is she saying mere words to mollify the majority of Humans who believe that the atrocities and the War of Vengeance going on in Gaza and the West Bank are way beyond any acceptable premise? I hope her assistants and policy wonks are not shielding her from the truth that she says she will not be silent about, because I have heard too many appeasing words in my lifetime and I don’t believe that the check is in the mail until the actual cash hits my account! Moreover, did she whisper other words to Netanyahu that contradict her stated public remarks? Or, is she betting on the fact that despite whatever she says, Netanyahu will continue with his Lies, Deceit, Propaganda and Delay, Obfuscate and Muddy the Waters as he usually does in order to continue denying the Palestinian People their Rights? Will he – as he has done previously – stage events in such a way as to go to war on Lebanon and Iran? This sounds like his plan since October, and perhaps even before that. And, will Kamala Harris buy into his hypocritical and cunning arguments, and blame it all on Biden’s Foreign Policies thus absolving herself of bloodied hands? Will she Cower, or go Bold?

I don’t know what will happen! What I do know for a fact is that she is Uniquely Positioned to Insist on Implementing her Objectives As Soon As Possible and to Face Down Netanyahu because No AIPAC, No ADL, No Any Radical Israeli Factions can say that she is Anti-Semitic since her husband is Jewish! They simply Cannot stick that trope of a label on her, although they have successfully done so on some Progressive Jews!

I have prided myself throughout my Voting History in these United States to be an Independent Voter having cast my Vote for Democrats, Republicans and Other Parties. I have also prided myself on Not Being a One Issue Voter, but to judge my choice holistically. However, the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East compel me to be the No War Voter. Any War! All Wars! All the US Foreign Misadventures and Screwed Up Policies that only serve the Colonist Enterprise. I have had more than enough of that in my lifetime! Enough Tears! Enough Agony! Enough Cruelty! I have also seen enough Women who assume the Male Macho Mantra of being a War Hawk. Remember Hillary when she gleefully stated her evil and destructive statement about Gaddafi: “We Came. We Saw. He Died.” Utterly despicable, reprehensible and shameful! And, Nancy Pelosi who has never opposed Any War? Another despicable War Hawk! And there are other despicable female journalists, anchors and politicians supporting the murder of children!

Therefore, whom will I cast my Vote For during the Upcoming Election? There are still three more months to go, and three more months during which the Democratic Candidate can either Earn My Vote on the Issues that I have stated, or Another Candidate Will.

Three more months to go and The Unexpected Is Around The Corner!

. . . and I’m having Nightmares? Before I get to this though, there are Uplifting and Hopeful Events happening around our world? Sorta? Kinda?

Let me start with South Africa and their General Elections. The results made a “Corrective Dent” in their otherwise Failing Politics, but, of course, not enough! What is befuddling is that there are thousands of Lawyers, Doctors, Engineers, Writers, Civil Society Experts and all other Professionals across that entire Continent who are Not Corrupt and who Can, and Should, take on the responsibility of ridding themselves of Puppet Rulers – who maintain their Power by releasing the Military on Protesters and the Opposition with weapons supplied by their Colonist Masters – in order to Reclaim Their Nations, Their Resources and Take Care Of Their People! It is in the making, but it will take some more time! And, yes, I’ll say it again, we are still experiencing the aftereffects of the centuries old Colonialism that ravaged so many places in our World, though it has morphed nowadays into other sinister forms that simply won’t let go! Still, this election was a step forward! Onwards, Africa!

On June 1st. India’s Voting, which ended the longest time span of nationwide voting in the world, made another “Corrective Dent” sending a message to Modi that his continuing to Divide India and Sow Strife between Hindus, Muslims, Christians and other religions in order to stay in Power is not a Democracy such as what Gandhi and Nehru envisioned. India is too diverse, too rich and too important on the world’s stage for Modi to continue playing with fire! I believe that his going after Arundhati Roy shocked his nation and many other nations, as did his building of an Indian Shrine on top of a destroyed Mosque and other such despicable behavior which are simply more proof of his continuing Authoritarian ambitions! It is time for his brand of Politics to end! Perhaps this election was a step in the right direction? Hopefully!

In the United Kingdom they tossed Rishi Sunak and his Rwanda migrant fantasy out to the gutter and replaced a dismal failure of fourteen years of Conservative Rule (Mis-Rule?) that bankrupted Essential and Social Services such as Health, Water Systems, Postal Services, Exorbitant Prices in Rents and Necessities etc. etc. that British Humans have been dearly paying for as the Rich and Powerful continue living their Opulent Lives in Splendor – which is the same situation as the Rich and Powerful across the Planet. Nevertheless, I was thrilled that the Sinn Fein Party in Ireland won its election bid, and that Jeremy Corbyn won his reelection bid despite the continuing totally unfounded anti-semitic label and disgusting smear campaign against him. At the end of the day, The Voters chose the Labour Party that has promised them the Moon. Can they deliver? We will find out. Meanwhile, the Brits went to bed more hopeful than they have been for many years. One very important observation that other Political Leaders should pay attention to whether they Win, or Lose an Election, were the speeches with which the Exiting Sunak and the Incoming Starmer addressed their Nation with words full of Grace, Decorum and Tact. It was quite impressive and classy, and maybe an incentive for Other Political Leaders to stop acting like bullies and rascals and shape up? I hope so!

In France the Left ousted the Far Right and their authoritarian agenda. Human beings fundamentally reject that they are being compromised in order for the Corporations and Rich not to pay taxes, plus a host of other human rights and legal issues. The French, who had once inspired the world with their storming of the Bastille, got it right! The Italians did not do as well! We’ll see where all that will go!

And the surprise amongst all these events was in Iran with an election of a relatively Moderate President who has promised Rapprochement, Dialogue and Negotiations with the West. He has also promised to ease the Draconian Measures on Women especially, and getting rid of the Morality Police. Maybe he won’t jail, torture and sometimes Disappear Protestors anymore? Maybe? Maybe allow the Iranian Humans to live their lives without Fear and Retribution? We will find out soon enough! Nevertheless, it was a Small Glimmer of Hope.

Suffice it to say that while there are hopeful signs in certain places on our planet, in others things are getting much worse!

Here in the United States we hosted the 75 Year Old NATO (North Atlantic Terrorist Organization, plus Racist and Colonist). The only thing I took away from that is more dangerous war-mongering rhetoric, more upping the ante on Putin and much less room for a Peaceful Outcome for the war in Ukraine. That does not bode well for Any of us! This Organization, same as most of our supposedly International Organizations, has to rid itself of the Arrogance, Sense of Entitlement, Racism and Colonist Premises with which they design the fate of so many! Spain’s PM, told them in so many words that they cannot continue to have Double Standards on Ukraine and Palestine, where Netanyahu has been committing more atrocities and more crimes while the world is Silent! How refreshing and courageous to witness Honesty from a Politician especially on this highly charged topic!

Meanwhile, while President Biden might have had a bad debate night, I was left with nightmares regarding what lies in our future as we are all watching and listening. What will our future here in these United States look like if the Assassination Attempt on President Trump that happened on Saturday night was any indication as to how Terrible, Awful, Shocking and Disconcerting things can get??!! How much further into the toilet are we all going to go before there is a realization that our rhetoric, our verbal bullying and our outdoing each other with more violent words and behavior will take us to a very bad place? Unacceptable! An event that all of us should be very worried about! This election season might probably be a Brutally Chaotic and Dangerous period in our lives, and I won’t even attempt to make a prediction as to the outcome. All I can say is: May the Universe Save Us From Our Rotten Selves!
