Autopsy Angst

When my older son was between two and three years old he was into everything as this age group usually is. So, the first time he fell and bumped his head on our coffee table I picked him up and thumped on that table saying: Naughty Table! Naughty Table! In my otherwise Mama way of deflecting his tears and pain I put the responsibility on the table and not on him for being rambunctious! However, this is exactly the same reaction that the Crisis in the Democratic Party has engendered as they are trying to spin their loss with eggs on their faces: It is Somebody/Something Else’s Fault!

So, just in case you haven’t concluded it from my previous posts: I Voted For Jill Stein. And, for the Democrats blaming those of us who did vote for Stein: No, we did not give our vote to Trump. Stop blaming the Naughty Table! Donald Trump SWEPT the election. Our small number of votes for Jill Stein wouldn’t even factor in his overall Triumph. Equally minuscule was the Palestinian and Arab vote, because some of us voted for Trump, others for Harris, others remained Uncommitted and a few, like myself voted for Jill Stein. Moreover, some of those who did not vote for either Party were neither Arab, nor Muslim. They were enraged about a whole lot of issues that neither Party addressed. Very Simply, Donald Trump Won because the Democratic Party Lost! They Lost Big Time! And, I hope that for their own good their Autopsy will be conducted with Honesty and Objectivity.

Moreover, whether we voted for Trump or not, whether we like him or we don’t, he is now the President of the United States of America. He is Our President. All Of Us! And, we should hope that he will leave our Country and the World a Legacy that he, his family and all of us will deem to be Satisfactory Enough, because Utopia it will definitely not be. So far his Nominees give me the jitters! In any case, if he does get us to Satisfactory Enough it will be, in my opinion, unlike Genocide Joe, Worthless Blinken and Joyful Kamala who leave us with a Tainted, Tarnished and Dishonorable Warmongering Legacy and a Democratic Party that has lost its way so badly. In this regard, I will reiterate what I have often previously said: had the Democratic Party not thrown my Hero, and the very Perceptive, Honorable and Popular Bernie Sanders under the bus and nominated Hillary for the Presidential Election of 2016 I do not think that we would even be here! History has proven for Centuries that One Wrong Decision can have Repercussions that span generations. That decision was one of them! In conducting The Autopsy of why the Democratic Party lost so badly they should seriously ask themselves this question.

How did I feel about Donald Trump’s Triumph? Frankly, not as devastated as many of my friends, despite my apprehensions and misgivings regarding many of his previous policies, the ones he has been threatening to enact during this campaign, his numerous terrible and foul-mouthed statements, and some of his appalling conduct. Someone needs to stick a Filter on his mouth! Therefore, I will continue to worry, fret and rant! One must admit though, that to those who voted for him he came across as Real, Believable and Authentic. Amongst many things he said was that he wants to reorg our government? Have at it, I say! There is too much waste, redundancy, revolving doors, personal interests and tribalism in our various departments that do not take the public good into account. However this can only happen IF – a big IF – Trump can do that Professionally and Honestly. Let’s wait and see! But, perhaps the best outcome of this election is that we did not have to cope with months on end of turbulence in our cities and on our streets had he failed to secure his Presidency. I, for one, was very concerned about that.

However, the Democratic Party is not the only entity that should conduct an Honest and Objective Autopsy. The Corporate Media should do the same. Whether it is Newspapers, Television Broadcasts, Social Media Platforms and all those schmucks in that field looking for sensationalism, entertainment, baloney and non-news: they have totally lost the public’s trust, and the numbers of their listeners/users are dwindling daily. It is time for an overdue reckoning! And, so it is with the Pollsters who have been getting a whole lot of their data wrong and for many years.

Time will tell where we go from here.

Time will tell whether Donald Trump’s Policies will serve this Nation well, or not.

Time will tell whether the Republican Party will conduct themselves decently and with what is best for all the citizens of this nation, or whether they will screw up their own win and this nation. They now have the Choice of ensuring their success for years, if not decades to come, or for inviting what, in my opinion, could be a devastating backlash. It is a fork in the road that reading history would enlighten them as to which way to go, especially if they Opt for looking at all issues with a long-view perspective, and not through a needle hole!

Will things have to get much worse than they already are before we either annihilate ourselves, or have an epiphany of some sort? I don’t know. What I do know for a fact is that there is worldwide angst and misgivings amongst ordinary people whether on the Left, on the Right, or in the Middle. These must be addressed by those in power if we are to come out of this terrible global mess that we are in – and believe you me it is a royal mess everywhere you look! Had Political and Corporate Leaders behaved Ethically, Morally, Justly, Wisely and with Integrity all Citizens Worldwide wouldn’t have been in such Turmoil!

Meanwhile, let us all Chill, Keep Our Heads Above Water and Hope For The Best!
